Give the girl a break, please?

I'm tired of seeing comments like "Oh Annie is supposed to be a red headed white girl with freckles!" and "Stop ruining the classics!" first of all, Annie was never had a color, its comfirmed in the books and second, I think its a DARN good idea that they made her african american, and third of all, The original isn't all that good to me. It's so boring and forgetable, I only like some of the songs though. I saw the original annie back in elementary school and I disliked it so much. I couldn't care less about it. I think I will like this Modernized version of Annie better than the original.
